I had my Canon 10D converted for infrared photography by LifePixel - the results are pretty cool! Details are on their site, but the short story is that they took the camera apart, removed the IR blocking filter that was installed by Canon, and replaced it with an internal IR filter. I chose the standard color IR filter which is equivalent to a Hoya R72. The whole process took about three weeks (including shipping to and from Washington state).
