Forum on College Student Volunteering - 03/26 - 3/27/2008

The Corporation for National and Community Service convened “The Forum on College Student Volunteering: Changing the World Through Service,” on March 26-27, 2008. The forum brought together a staff and student representative from 14 national organizations that engage college students in service. Some of the discussions at the Forum focused on Web 2.0 strategies, challenges faced including the turnover of students (particularly student leaders) and collaboration opportunities. Organizations participating in the Forum included: American Humanics, Inc., American Student Government Association, Best Buddies International, Bonner Foundation/Bonner Student Congress, Campus Kitchens Project, Habitat for Humanity International, Hillel: The Foundation for Jewish Campus Life, Idealist on Campus, National Association of College and University Residence Halls, National Student Partnership, Net Impact, Sigma Phi Epsilon, Student Veterans of America, and YouthNoise.
