I recently had my Canon 10D converted for infrared photography by LifePixel - the results are pretty cool! Details are on their site, but the short story is that they took the camera apart, removed the IR blocking filter that was installed by Canon, and replaced it with an internal IR filter. I chose the standard color IR filter which is equivalent to a Hoya R72. The whole process took about three weeks (including shipping to and from Washington state). The camera was ready to go right out of the box - literally - I took the first set of photos posted to this gallery out of the car window on the way home and post processed in Photoshop in about 10 minutes. I'm extremely happy.
